Public Health Graduate School Application Workshop

Applying to the public health program fits your needs takes time and effort and to understand and implement the steps required to achieve your goals. Through this hands-on workshop, the process will be demystified. Attendees will leave the workshop equipped with key resources, a personal plan of action, and an outlined statement of purpose to launch into a successful application cycle.
After this session, participants will be able to:
- Recognize the resources available to help them find their fit for graduate school in public health
- Describe the application requirements of the SOPHAS application
- Develop their timeline, including identifying and requesting referees and transcript request websites
- Provide and receive peer feedback on their draft statement
- Finalize a general statement of purpose that can be adjusted to their programs of interest
Attendees should come to the workshop with a laptop or device. Notepads and pens will be available, but attendees are encouraged to bring their own preferred writing materials.
